The Junior Bowling Association will be managing two leagues for the 2015 season. Families who have participated in the past will recognize similarities and updates to our new program this year. Both Leagues are on Saturdays for ten weeks (Jan 10 – Mar -14). On week eleven, March 21, 2014, each League will meet at their regular time for League awards and an opportunity to bowl with their families.
Our Instructional League is focused on the younger bowler in grades 1 through 5. Children will be assigned a team and participate in two bowling games per week. Throughout each week, we will focus on different bowling techniques, terminology, and provide individual coaching as requested. We not only want the children to learn about the game, but have a fun activity as a member of a team.
Our Youth League is focused on our middle school and high school youths. The Youth League will operate more like to a regular bowling league, with a shortened season. Each team will bowl three complete games. Volunteers will be available on different weeks to help children hone their techniques. Learning the nuances of the game, team play and providing a stepping stone to a full regular league are our focus areas.
